If you need emergency contraception (AKA the morning after pill), you can walk in anytime we’re open.
We ask that patients seeking other walk-in services arrive at least one hour before closing.
Due to high demand, we cannot guarantee service to walk-in customers although we will do all we can to accommodate you. If dealing with an immediate need or traveling from a substantial distance, it is advisable to call the health center in advance of your walk-in visit to assess our capacity to serve you without an appointment.

We’re unable to provide childcare at our health center. For safety reasons children need to be accompanied by an adult when they’re in the waiting room. Only infants can accompany you to the exam room. Please bring a friend or family member to be with your children if you don’t have childcare at home.
You can fill your birth control prescriptions at our health center instead of the pharmacy. during business hours
Getting a physical for school or employment? Please bring all of the required forms with you.
Specially trained staff are available for people with developmental disabilities.
We provide educational materials specifically for people with developmental disabilities.
You can come to us for services that don’t require a medical exam. For example, birth control education and supplies; emergency contraception (AKA the morning after pill); pregnancy testing and counseling; STD testing, and testing and treatments for urinary tract infections.
From the East:
Take Route 84 West to Exit 18, and bear right at the Highland Avenue sign. At the stop sign, turn left onto Highland Avenue. The health center is located at Russell Place, which is on the corner of West Main Street and Highland Avenue.
From the West::
Take Route 84 East to Exit 18, and go right at the Exit, right over the bridge. Go right onto West Main Street for about .3/4 of a mile. The health center is located at Russell Place, which is on the corner of West Main Street and Highland Avenue.
From the South:
Take Route 8 North, to the Downtown Waterbury Exit. Go straight alongside Route 8. Turn left onto West Main Street. The health center is located at Russell Place, which is on the corner of West Main St and Highland Avenue.
From the North:
Take route 8 to West Main/Downtown Exit. Turn right at the light onto West Main Street. The health center is located at Russell Place, which is on the corner of West Main and Highland Avenue.
* Park in the gravel lot off of West Main Street.
You may be able to get your birth control pills mailed to you. Ask the health center staff for more information.
Pills by Mail is available at this health center — a service that delivers birth control pills to your home each month. Ask the health center staff for more information.
