Men's Health Care in Tucson, AZ

Southern Arizona Regional Health Center offers the following services:

  • checkups when you have a reproductive/sexual health problem
  • jock itch - exam and treatment
  • vasectomy

Vasectomy Consultations are available via Telehealth. Patients who are covered by AHCCCCS must wait 30 days between their consultation and vasectomy procedure. Cash-pay or private insurance patients can have their consultation and procedure the same day.

Here’s what you need to know in preparation for a men's health visit at this health center:

Checkups when you have a reproductive/sexual health problem may require a genital exam.

A vasectomy usually requires two visits - one for education and consent, and another for the surgery itself. A semen sample will be needed after three months to confirm that the vasectomy was successful.

Our vasectomy providers are contracted with the following insurance: Aetna, AZ Complete Health, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, CareFirst, Cigna, Health Choice Arizona, TRICARE, United Health Care (UHC), United Health Care (UHC) Community Plan.

  • The cost of a vasectomy without insurance is: $750.00. Private and Cash-Pay patients can have their consultation and procedure on the same day. Grant funding is available to those who qualify.

There may be additional charges for lab and blood work.

Payment is expected at time of service unless other arrangements have been made.

Some men's health services may be covered by your insurance. If you want to use your insurance, please be sure to have your insurance information at the time of your visit.

    Walk-in Information

    If you need emergency contraception (AKA the morning after pill), you can walk in anytime we’re open.

    You are welcome to walk in any time the Health Center is open to make an appointment or see if there is a same day appointment available. If you have the time to wait, we will make every effort to fit you in the same day. If we can’t see you, we will give you the first priority appointment available.

    Ultrasound walk-in appointments are available on Thursdays and Fridays, on a first-come-first-served basis.  To confirm availability for same-day walk-in ultrasound appointments please call the health center at 520.408.7526.

    Emergency Contraception, Pregnancy Testing, Birth Control Refills Birth control pill refill pickups are available during open business hours At this health center you can come in for appointments that do not require a medical exam. 

    We do not provide childcare services. We request that you please make childcare arrangements.
