If you don't have insurance, you may qualify for a state-funded program or a lower fee scale. If you’re worried about cost, ask us about how you can get health care that fits your budget.

Payment Information

Patients should contact the health center before their appointment to ensure that their Physician/Clinician accepts their insurance plan. We’ll never turn you away from the care you need because of your inability to pay.

Most health insurance plans now cover prescription birth control, annual wellness exams, and STI/HIV screenings with no copay, and many other services with some copay required. Contact your health insurance company directly to make sure that the services you need are covered and what, if any, out of pocket costs you might have.

Appointment Policies and Information

Please check-in 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.

We advise patients to secure childcare as children are not allowed to be unattended in the waiting room or in the back for patient visits. Tempe Regional Health Center is located east of McClintock Drive at 1837 E. Baseline Road.

Patients should call the health center before their appointment to ensure that their Physician/Clinician accepts their insurance plan (602) 277-7526.

Childcare Policies

Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the waiting area unsupervised.

We’re unable to provide childcare at our health center. For safety reasons children need to be accompanied by an adult when they’re in the waiting room. Only infants can accompany you to the exam room. Please bring a friend or family member to be with your children if you don’t have childcare at home.

Services Offered

You can fill your birth control prescriptions at our health center instead of the pharmacy. Wed, Thurs, Fri 8am-4pm

You can come to us for services that don’t require a medical exam. For example, birth control education and supplies; emergency contraception (AKA the morning after pill); pregnancy testing and counseling; STD testing, and testing and treatments for urinary tract infections.

Walk-in Information

If you need emergency contraception (AKA the morning after pill), you can walk in anytime we’re open.

You are welcome to walk in any time the Health Center is open to make an appointment or see if there is a same day appointment available. If you have the time to wait, we will make every effort to fit you in the same day. If we can’t see you, we will give you the first priority appointment available.
