Can lesbians get STDs?
Yes. People who have unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse are at the highest risk for sexually transmitted infections, but it’s still possible for lesbians to transmit STDs through genital-to-genital touching, manual stimulation, oral sex, or sharing sex toys. Lesbians can reduce the risk of infection the same way other people can — through safer sex. This means using gloves, Sheer Glyde dams, plastic wrap or a cut-open condom for oral sex, and condoms on sex toys (use a new condom anytime a new person uses it).
