I’m not virgin and I’m 16 but I have to go to a OB/GYN and my mother doesn’t know and I’m not planning on telling her . I will like to know if I can go without her to a OG/GYN ?
Yep, you can totally visit a doctor without your mother. At most Planned Parenthood health centers, you can see a doctor or nurse without your parents, and the same goes for lots of other OB/GYN offices. When you call to make an appointment, the best thing to do is ask about that particular doctor’s privacy policies.
Lots of teens have parents who want to talk with them about sex and how to stay healthy. It may be hard, but it couldn’t hurt to try talking with your mom about what’s going on. Check out these tips on starting the conversation.
