Melvin Galloway is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Action Fund. In this role, Melvin oversees the day-to-day operations and ensures that the national organization is set up to deliver on our important strategic goals over the short and long term.
Prior to joining Planned Parenthood, he served as the Chief Operations Officer for the New York State Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery, where he oversaw operations for a complex $4 billion federally funded HUD disaster recovery program. He has also served as Chief of Staff for the President at the New York Public Library. In addition to holding various key roles managing operations at The Rockefeller Foundation and Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, he has also done pro bono work for nonprofit organizations through the Taproot Foundation.
Melvin received his Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and International Studies from Miami University of Ohio and a Master’s of Public Administration and Finance from NYU. He is a former Fulbright Scholar, where he worked with a variety of civil society organizations in Venezuela.
