Latoya Murphy is Chief of Staff in the Office of the President. In this role, she works closely with president and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson to ensure that the national office designs and delivers on the highest value strategic objectives of the organization.

Latoya possesses leadership experience in private, public, and nonprofit sectors. She has served in various roles in federal, state, and local government and has held senior roles in Fortune 50 companies.  Most recently as Chief of Staff and VP of Global Corporate Social Responsibility and Strategic Partnerships at Care.com, Latoya was responsible for the company’s global social impact portfolio, oversight of policy and corporate communications functions, and strategic external partnerships.

She previously served as the Deputy Executive Director and Managing Director of Operations for the New York State Governor's Office of Storm Recovery, where she administered a $4B federal grant program. Additionally, Latoya was a Senior Executive Service (SES) appointee in the Obama Administration, serving in the U.S. Department of Commerce. She has also held senior roles in financial services and telecommunications with Citigroup and Verizon, respectively.

She is a graduate of New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA).
