Dr. Kulleni Gebreyes is board chair of Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). She has more than 20 years of experience in both private and public sectors of the health care industry. Using consumer-focused, data-driven, and financially sustainable models, she has restructured the way patients receive care at numerous health care organizations. In partnership with providers, patients, and employers, Kulleni has successfully developed and implemented clinical analytic tools and applications that reduce operating costs to make better use of resources.

Kulleni has served as a faculty member in medical education and residency training at Georgetown University Medical Center and the George Washington University Hospital. Kulleni is a strong advocate for vulnerable communities through her work with the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

She is a recognized speaker at regional and national conferences. She was trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System, is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and is a Six Sigma Green Belt. She has an MD from Harvard Medical School, a BS in biology from Princeton University, and an MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
