Minkoff, the leading independent accessories designer in the U.S., is a much-revered style maker, whose subtle, edgy designs are favored by women across the world. Adding to her already impressive roster, Rebecca takes her design expertise into the bedroom with a limited edition condom a woman is proud to carry, PROPER ATTIRE® by Rebecca Minkoff. Safer sex has never been so stylish, especially with sales benefitting charitable organization Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Applying the same casual-luxe aesthetic from her collections to the PROPER ATTIRE® packaging design, Minkoff says, “I loved the idea of designing a condom that was made by a woman for a woman. I got to use my classic studded Rebecca Minkoff design and apply it to the packaging, making a condom that girls can feel comfortable carrying with them.” Demonstrating her versatility as a designer, Minkoff’s chic studded, cheetah and zebra print bag designs translate seamlessly to package her PROPER ATTIRE® condoms.

PROPER ATTIRE® condoms by Rebecca Minkoff will be available at ProperAttireCondoms.com, Confederacy (LA), SoHo and Tribeca Grand hotels, Rebecca Minkoff stores, RebeccaMinkoff.com, and included in her iconic Morning After Bag, Clutch and Mini. As everyone knows, the secret to a good Morning After is a safe Night Before.

Rachel Molloy, director of branded products at PROPER ATTIRE®, says, “Rebecca Minkoff was an obvious choice for us to partner with for PROPER ATTIRE® condoms, the most important accessory a woman can carry. Rebecca’s best-selling designs are popular with women the world over, and we know our customers will be excited to carry her PROPER ATTIRE® condom designs.”

Rebecca Minkoff launched in 2001 with a five-piece apparel line and has quickly grown to become the number-one independent accessories designer in the United States. In 2009 she was honored as a New York Moves Power Woman for her entrepreneurial success in the fashion industry, and in 2010 was admitted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).

Rebecca Minkoff joins the likes of designers Vena Cava, Charlotte Ronson, Alexander Wang, Brian Reyes, Jeremy Scott, and Yigal Azrouël, who have all collaborated on collections for the condom brand. PROPER ATTIRE® has also collaborated for the past few years with the Keith Haring Foundation to feature his artwork in honor of World Aids Day. PROPER ATTIRE® condoms can be found at select hotels such as the Thompson Hotels and Morgans Hotel Group, as well as at cult fashion store Opening Ceremony and the Museum of Contemporary Art store in Los Angeles.

Not only fashionable, PROPER ATTIRE® condoms are also reliable and effective. The condoms are FDA-tested and undergo rigorous quality-assurance testing by the manufacturer as well as by independent laboratories. With increased awareness about the spread of sexually transmitted infections, the practice of safer sex is of the utmost importance. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about one person in the U.S. contracts HIV every 10 minutes; by the age of 25, one in two sexually active people will have contracted a sexually transmitted infection; moreover, one in two Americans will contract a sexually transmitted infection at some point in their lives.  And the U.S. has the highest teen pregnancy rate among the most developed countries in the world.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America created Proper Attire LLC and the PROPER ATTIRE® condom line to make women feel comfortable about carrying condoms by offering them stylish designs they’ll actually want to use. A trusted source for reproductive and sexual health care and information for nearly 100 years, Planned Parenthood affiliates operate nearly 800 health centers nationwide.  Planned Parenthood promotes a proactive approach to women’s health, encouraging each person to make informed and responsible decisions.

This New York Fashion Week don’t get caught without this season’s hottest accessory: PROPER ATTIRE® condoms by Rebecca Minkoff. They’re required for entry.
