Family Programs

Growing Up Male/Growing Up Female (For parents & pre-teens together)

These classes are for parents (or other adult caregivers) and their 9 to 12 year-old children. Specifically designed to enhance parent/child communication about sexuality, the program creates a relaxed, yet professional atmosphere in which educators guide parents and kids through activities that stimulate conversation, clarify family values and provide accurate information about the physical and emotional changes of puberty. This popular program is hosted and open to general registration by several community partners. Contact us for information on scheduled sessions in your area, or see below about hosting a program.

TeenSpeak (For parents & teens together)

Parents and early teens explore their values and concerns about entering the high school years. Families learn active listening and negotiation skills in order to foster positive communication and develop strategies for dealing with challenging issues.

Parents as Sexuality Educators

Parents learn about child development and age-appropriate sexual behavior, learn ways to communicate their beliefs and values, and identify strategies to solve problems and address difficult situations. Separate programs are available for parents with children in pre-school, elementary, and adolescent age groups.
