2008 Courses



CPR/BLS for Health Care Providers (3.5 hour): Certified by the Western Region Training Center for the American Heart Association, this constitutes Basic Life Support/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training for health care professionals including infant, adolescent and adult CPR techniques and use of an automated external defibrillator. The class is also appropriate to anyone working in schools, social service and youth-serving agencies.

HIV/AIDS (7.5 hour): Designed to meet the Washington State HIV/AIDS education requirement for health care workers and others who require HIV/AIDS training, including school personnel and staff of youth-serving agencies. Sessions are facilitated by experienced trainers and educators with a broad background in HIV education and prevention. Participants will gain a working knowledge of the virus and the illness, including history of the pandemic, transmission, prevention, treatment, psychosocial aspects as well as current and future trends with updates on vaccine trials and microbicides.
