Title: Public Affairs Director
Location: Planned Parenthood of Western PA – Pittsburgh
Hours: Full Time
Primary Responsibilities:
a. Manage media and communications:
- Work with other PPWP departments to implement a communications strategy to promote the programs, services and issues of the agency.
- Garner earned media around issues central to reproductive rights
- Respond to attacks on women’s health with letters to the editor, PPAN and other communication methods,
- Work with supporters to ensure Planned Parenthood and women’s health is represented in area publications
- Maintain public affairs/news section of PPWP website with updated news releases, issues and stories.
b. Legislator Contact
Serve as government relations contact for Southwestern Pennsylvania legislators; maintain regular contact with legislators in our service area and work to gain support for PPWP initiatives and forestall attacks from anti-choice legislators.
c. Grassroots Organization:
- Oversee grassroots organizing efforts; assist with the planning and execution of canvasses, phone banks, outreach and health center advocacy efforts.
d. Administrative/Managerial
- Supervise the volunteer coordinator and set goals for volunteer program.
- Assist in the development and ensure implementation of assigned areas of responsibility in the agency strategic plan.
- Ensure that the board, committee members and staff are current on public affairs activities.
- Administer and ensure successful implementation of any special grant programs.
- Maintain records for staff and self of all time spent working on 501(c)(4) or PAC activities.
- Serve on coalitions that support the work and mission of PPWP.
e. Action Fund Board/committee
- Serve as the Action Fund board/committee liaison by facilitating local work to identify, interview, endorse, and provide political support to pro-choice candidates in Western PA; conduct fundraising activities to support the work of the state and/local Action Fund; oversee all strategic plan activities related to the Action Fund/committee.
f. State Office Representation
· Participate in the work of the Planned Parenthood state office; actively participate in the public policy committee and in the implementation of a statewide public policy plan.

III. Essential Functions/Qualifications:
- College degree required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to verbally communicate publicly in a professional, effective manner
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Ability to use telecommunications
- Ability to type and be computer literate.

Title: Development and Marketing Assistant
Location: Planned Parenthood of Western PA – Pittsburgh
Hours: Full Time

Primary Responsibilities: Create and implement marketing, public relations and advertising campaigns for the agency; manage and create content for website, facebook, e-newsletter and other social media; design donor communication pieces including newsletters and annual reports; monitor and facilitate the purchase of stationery and printed materials.Oversee in-house printing and mailing for all donor correspondence; assist with donor fund raising campaigns for the agency including: annual campaign, United Way, prospecting; coordinate volunteer participation in fund raising program; provide support for special events and oversee maintenance of donor files, gift processing and reports generated from donor software.

Title: Clinician (CRNP/CNM)
Location: Planned Parenthood of Western PA – Moon Township and Bridgeville Health Centers
Hours: FULL TIME OPENING

Primary Responsibilities: Energetic, motivated person with Pennsylvania license committed to providing women’s reproductive health care. PPWP is seeking a full-time Nurse Midwife or Nurse Practitioner to work in our GYN service. We provide comprehensive annual exams, STI and infection checks and treatment, IUD insertions, colposcopies and more. We provide numerous opportunities to advance your skills and knowledge base. Under the medical supervision of the Medical Director, the Clinician will function in an expanded role as the primary provider of medical services. The Clinician will carry full responsibility for the initiation and maintenance of patients in the family planning regimen, as well as provide leadership in all aspects of comprehensive clinical services.
