Texas Law says...
In the 2003 Texas Legislative session, a law titled "Women's Right To Know Act" was passed that requires:
- Physicians to give women seeking abortions information about medical risks and adoption alternatives.
- For a woman to wait 24-hours after making her appointment to give her the option of reviewing color pictures of the developmental stages of a fetus, and
- Perform second-trimester abortions only in hospitals or ambulatory surgical centers.
This law went into effect January 1, 2004.

Minors and Abortions
Texas law requires parental consent for teens seeking abortion effective September 1, 2005. Anyone 17 or younger, is required to have a parent or legal guardian with them at the time of their appointment. Parents or legal guardians will have to provide a valid, photo ID along with the patients birth certificate or proof of guardianship (i.e. court papers).
