Planning the Future of Planned Parenthood

Donate online to support the future of Planned Parenthood Association of Utah.

Planned Parenthood Association of Utah is the largest provider of women’s reproductive health care in the state, and a community leader in providing education and outreach.

Planned Parenthood operates eight medical facilities that serve over 45,000 women, men and teens annually in Utah.

96% of the care provided is in the area of family planning that prevents unwanted pregnancy and reduces the need for abortion.

76% of our clients have incomes below 150% of the federal poverty level

97% of our clients are uninsured.

Planned Parenthood is the only statewide agency providing high-quality reproductive health care services that are both subsidized and confidential. Every dollar spent in preventive health care saves $4 in social service costs and keeps families out of poverty.

The Administration’s first stimulus package included a proposal to expand Medicaid family planning to all 50 states. The comeback from Representative Boehner was “How can you spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives?  How does that stimulate the economy? The proposal was eliminated and reproductive health care was taken out of the stimulus package.

You have the opportunity to recognize the importance of reproductive health care and the vital services provided by Planned Parenthood Association of Utah.  Please
donate your 2008 tax rebate or a portion of your rebate to Planned Parenthood.

Your contribution of $50, $100, $300 or more will help close the gap between those who have access to health care and those who do not, and to provide greater access to reproductive health care.  Over the coming years, as public health care funding is cut and private insurance becomes more expensive, the number of clients Planned Parenthood serves will increase.
