March 20, 2007 is the National Day of Action for letting all women know about accessing emergency contraception (EC) also known as PlanB in the new "dual-label" environment (Women 18 and older can buy EC directly from a pharmacy with a valid ID, women under the age of 18 still need a prescription from their doctor or health care provider).
The Day of Activism is dedicated to spreading the word to all women that EC is a safe and effective method of back up birth control.
