Who We Are

The Troy Hospital Merger Research Group is composed of interested community members and service providers who are concerned about the potential impact of the newly proposed merger of St. Peter's Hospital, Seton Health System and Northeast Health in Rensselaer County. Participants include lawyers, clinicians, business members, community leaders, health care staff, reproductive health care professionals, educators, community activists and Rensselaer County residents.

The group considers itself a temporary, fact-finding entity, working together to gain answers to a long list of questions and concerns regarding the impact of establishing a single hospital network in Rensselaer County operated under the Catholic health care directives, and a separately operated, secularly managed, one-floor facility dedicated to reproductive health care services not permitted under the directives of the new hospital network.

Please use the links at the top or bottom of this page to access further information regarding the proposed merger.
