Anti-women's health groups and their allies on Capitol Hill are putting increasing pressure on President Obama. They want to overturn new regulations that require insurance coverage for birth control with no co-pays. They want to block access to birth control for millions of women and they want President Obama to help them do it.

These are nurses, teachers, janitors, and other workers who should not be discriminated against and denied a benefit that the vast majority of Americans will receive. Birth control without co-pays is one of the most popular benefits of the Affordable Care Act. Seventy-one percent of American voters, including 77 percent of Catholic women voters, support the requirement that health plans cover birth control at no cost. Undermining this critical benefit will severely hurt our efforts to energize women around President Obama.
