We get a lot of questions, so its possible weve already answered one a lot like yours.
Q:
Can genital warts go away on their own?
A: All types of genital HPV — human papilloma virus — can go away on their own. Sometimes genital warts go away on their own in a few months — but remember, just because you don't have any visible warts, you may still have the virus that causes them, so you still have to be careful about protecting yourself and your partner. So always use a condom or female condom to reduce the risk of infection.

How is HPV treated?
A: There is currently no treatment to cure HPV itself. Most HPV infections are harmless and do not require treatment. Treatment is available for genital warts caused by certain HPVs. It is also available for abnormal cell changes in a woman's cervix that are caused by certain other kinds of HPV.
