Parents Are Sexuality Educators Kits
The risks associated with adolescent sexual activity are much higher today than a generation ago. Children need information and facts about sexuality in order to protect themselves, and to help them become healthy and responsible adults.
The Parents Are Sexuality Educators (PASE) program provides parents with the educational tools they need to help educate their children on issues of sexuality. PASE gives parents a place to start and the flexibility to frame sexuality education based upon thier own family values.
PASE materials are grouped into three age-appropriate levels:
- Primary: ages 4-8
- Intermediate: ages 9-11
- Secondary: ages 12-18
Each level contains at least two videotapes, a variety of books and pamphlets, and the fact sheet series, There's No Place Like Home For Sex Education. All materials have been reviewed and recommended by a parent advisory committee.
A contraceptive education component is available for parents who wish to discuss birth control and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections with their youth.
PASE kits may be borrowed at no charge for a one week period.
