All internships are unpaid, but have flexible schedules and hour requirements.
Public Affairs: Do you love working with volunteers? Are you interested in learning more about the advocacy work PPSWO does? A public affairs intern will tackle projects ranging from helping to restructure PPSWO’s volunteer program to overseeing volunteer events. Help represent PPSWO at community events, help us develop a marketing plan for our services and work with PPSWO’s Young Professionals groups to plan fundraising events. We need someone energetic, fun and creative!
Education: Are you committed to providing accurate, comprehensive sexuality education to teens? Are you interested in helping adults and professionals learn how to be valuable resources when it comes to sexuality information? An education internship might be for you! Ed Interns can participate in all aspects of PPSWO’s Education work, helping to research and write new programs, assisting in program preparation, delivery and evaluation, and representing the agency at various community events.
Information Technology: Are you a computer guru? Our IT Department needs you to help update our active directory, work on our phone system and answer help requests from employees.
Finance: If you’re a numbers wiz, this is the place for you! An intern with accounting experience can tackle spreadsheet preparation and account analysis, helping with monthly financial reports.
Human Resources: Looking for a career in human resources? You can learn the ropes from us! Help conduct interviews, create and conduct an employee opinion survey, restructure our turnover report, and be responsible for PPSWO’s online employment listings.
Development & Grantwriting: Fundraising skills are invaluable to organizations – fine tune yours with us! Assist with grant applications, work in our donor database, plan fundraising events and create trend reports and giving results.
