Of the approximately 19 million new STDs that occur every year in the United States, most will go undiagnosed. Many STDs have no symptoms – so many of those infected may not know it and unknowingly infect others. Lack of information, misconceptions and social stigma keep many people from getting tested.
Planned Parenthood offers STD testing, diagnosis and treatment, including:
- bacterial vaginosis (BV)
- chlamydia
- genital warts
- gonorrhea
- herpes
- HIV (testing and diagnosis only)
- syphilis
- trichomoniasis (trich)
- Other STD testing, diagnosis and treatment services are also available.
