Ways to Get Involved

Share your story

Whether it's affordable birth control or the right to safe and legal abortion, tell us why sexual and reproductive health care matters to you.

Your story is a powerful way to show your support and help others understand what we're fighting for!

You can share your story with us online or submit this volunteer interest form to get involved as a storyteller.

Phone Bank

Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri (PPSLRSWMO) and Advocates (PPSLRSWMO's advocacy and political arm) regularly have phone banks. Volunteers call reproductive rights supporters to share information about upcoming events and advocacy opportunities.

Join fellow supporters and hop on the phones to make a difference for sexual and reproductive health and rights!

Get involved on campus

PP Generation Action is a network of college activists across the country who organize events on their campuses and in their communities to:

  • Mobilize advocates for reproductive freedom
  • Raise public awareness about reproductive health and rights
  • Educate young people about sexual health
  • Create lasting change in their communities

Become a patient greeter

As the first friendly faces visitors see at our health centers, patient greeters create a welcoming and safe environment for visitors, patients, and staff.

This volunteer opportunity is available weekdays outside of our health center in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Join the outreach team

The outreach team represents Planned Parenthood at community events across the region.

Volunteers promote Planned Parenthood services and programs as well as educate the public about sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Intern with Planned Parenthood

Internships are periodically available with our development, community outreach, and public policy teams. Development Interns assist with mailings, proofreading, research, and events. Public Policy Interns learn about advocacy, policy, grassroots organizing and lobbying, while Community Outreach Interns focus on tabling at community events, health insurance outreach, and volunteer recruitment and management.

Internships are not just for students — opportunities are available to any supporter with the time and commitment to make a difference!

Street team

Connect with Planned Parenthood supporters and engage your community in policy and advocacy work.

Write a letter to the editor

A team of Planned Parenthood supporters respond to news articles by writing letters to the editor. These volunteers help shape the public narrative, counter misinformation, and advocate for reproductive freedom.

Our public policy team flags relevant articles and provides you with the facts and figures you need to respond effectively!
