Volunteer

Administrative  Volunteers work with administrative staff to help answer the phones and projects involving the computer, filing, mailings, database assistance, mailings, copying, updating forms and other office work as needed. 

Clinic Advocate  The Clinic Advocacy program connects Planned Parenthood clients to current legislative activities and policies that directly affect them. As a Clinic Advocate volunteers are trained to work in the clinic waiting rooms, educating and informing clients and staff about current legislative issues. Clinic advocates empower clients to speak up for themselves and take action.  Training is required.

Community Action Team Member  Volunteers are responsible for developing community campaigns on issues of reproductive health, meeting with their legislators, and educating community members. Campaigns may include better pharmacy access to EC, sex education, or access to family planning. Community Action Teams will be supported by Planned Parenthood staff and meet at least monthly. Teams are currently active in St. Charles, North County, Webster/Kirkwood, Jefferson County, and the City of St. Louis.

Development   Assist with administrative tasks, donor database management, event management, solicitation mailings and other tasks as needed.

Information Technology  If you have some understanding of Windows software computers, not necessarily a "tech wiz" but someone with a basic understanding of networks and computers, we need you!  Depending on need and your interest, responsibilities may include: inventorying the network, loading/updating software, hardware maintenance, cabling, and networking.

Letter to the Editor Response Team  Volunteers respond to newspaper articles with Letters to the Editor. We'll contact you and send talking points to help write your letter.

Outreach Team  Volunteers represent Planned Parenthood at community events around Missouri that promote Planned Parenthood services and programs, and educate the public about reproductive health related issues.

Phone Bank Team  Volunteers call pro-choice supporters to educate them about upcoming events, legislation, and voting.

Political Data Entry Volunteers  Help with data entry, mailings, and other office work as needed.

Secret Shopper  Monitor quality assurance and customer service in family planning clinics with management supervision.
