Cancer Screenings

Cancer Screening and Prevention:

  • Pap tests or HPV tests are kinds of cervical cancer screenings.  The HPV vaccine can prevent cervical cancer.  Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region is able to offer eligible females, ages 9-26, the HPV vaccine for free through a grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health.
  • Colposcopy is a special exam if you have an abnormal pap test.  Cryotherapy are treatments for abnormal growths on the cervix.
  • We offer breast exams as part of our well-woman care, or individually.   It is recommended that all women self-exam once a month, but get checked by a professional at least once a year. When found early and treated right away, breast cancers have the best chance to be cured.
  • As part of our male health care services we offer testicular and prostate cancer screenings
