Judy Wicks will speak at SJ-NOW Chapter Meeting
Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.
Please mark your calendars so you don’t miss this presentation!
Judy Wicks, founder of the White Dog Café in Philadelphia will speak and read excerpts from her book, Good Morning, Beautiful Business.
Ms. Wicks provides insight and inspiration concerning the deep connections between local food, ecology, economy and social justice. Her book is a memoir about the evolution of an entrepreneur who would not only change her neighborhood but would also change her world--helping communities far and wide create local living economies that value people, nature and place more than money.
Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s, is one of many authors, visionaries and business people giving praise to Ms. Wicks’ book. He says, “Judy Wicks is one of the most amazing women I have ever met. She ran the legendary White Dog Café with passion, heart, common sense, and financial success. And she continues to blaze new paths on the road to a truly sustainable people-centered economy. This is a must-read book.”
Our program meetings are held in the basement of the First Baptist Church at 19 West Main St., Moorestown, NJ across from TD Bank (parking available in the lot behind Carl's Shoe Store and enter using side entrance to the church). Our meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and all are welcome to attend. Judy Wicks will speak for about 20-30 minutes. There will be a Q&A and book signing for about 20-30 minutes and our meeting usually ends around 9:30 p.m. The event is free and there will be refreshments. Judy Wicks' book is a terrific read and would make a great holiday gift.
