With over 100 volunteers under the direction of Deborah Broman and Stacey Bressler, our dynamic Development Department coordinated the most successful Wine, Women & Shoes event in PPSD history! Our 5th Annual event was held on Sunday, June 14th at the gorgeous St. Supéry Vineyards and Winery in the Napa Valley.
This event had it all—10 retailers, 20 restaurants, 30 wineries, Brazilian dancers, yoginis, a dynamite live and silent auction (raising over $100,000), and a spirited Fund-A-Need focused on raising funds to treat cervical cancer (raising over $60,000). As a result of everyone’s hard work, we netted close to $195,000 for the programs and services at PPSD. The fabulous Rita Moreno graced the event as our Honorary Chair and extraordinary fundraiser. Rita even offered three lunches at $10,000 each!
Thank you to our PPSD Board of Trustees and our Napa Valley Board of Advocates for donating your time and money to make this event a wild success! This event proves that despite hard times, when the demand of our services continues to rise, donors continue to stay passionate about access to safe and affordable reproductive health care. Thank you all for your commitment to making this event incredibly exciting and financially successful. You are all PPSD superstars!!
