Women make up 95% of our clientele and most are young – 61% are under the age of 25 and 27% are teens. Clients also reflect the diversity of the communities served by PPSD:  27% Latino, 11% African American, 7% Asian/Pacific Islander, 15% encompass the many other races and ethnicities present in northern California, and 40% White.  More than 90% of our clients are low income and rely on government subsidies for their health care.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD EXPRESS SITES provide select services including birth control, STD testing, emergency contraception, and education. PPSD has Express sites, including several at local high schools.  Express sites can be found in the following counties: Butte, Contra Costa, Solano, Glen, and Lake.
