Women make up 95% of our clientele and most are young 61% are under the age of 25 and 27% are teens. Clients also reflect the diversity of the communities served by PPSD: 27% Latino, 11% African American, 7% Asian/Pacific Islander, 15% encompass the many other races and ethnicities present in northern California, and 40% White. More than 90% of our clients are low income and rely on government subsidies for their health care.
