REAL Rock & Soul
Sunday April 1
Water Street Music Hall
Rochester, NY
REAL (Rising Educators, Advocates and Leaders) for Planned Parenthood, the PPRSR young professionals group, is excited to announce REAL Rock & Soul - a celebration of music, our community’s rising leaders and access to sexual and reproductive health care. The event will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Water Street Music Hall in Rochester, NY.
Carbon Leaf, the Richmond, Virginia-based group with 20 years of award-winning recording and touring under their belt, will be headlining the event. Local musician and PPRSR health educator Jenna Weintraub will start things off, followed by Syracuse band White Picket Fence, led by REAL member Elise Miklich.
In between sets, REAL will be entertaining and educating the crowd with everything from condom races to information on the male health services available at Planned Parenthood.
REAL hopes this will become an annual event to benefit Planned Parenthood, celebrate the services they provide and engage the young people of Rochester.
Tickets are available online, $10 pre-sale and $15 day-of. Doors open at 4pm. For more information and sponsorship opportunities, please contact real@pprsr.org.
