Cattaraugus County Youth Development Coalition
The Cattagaugus County Youth Development Coalition (YDC) is comprised of community service organizations dedicated to promoting the practice of positive youth development. YDC members collaborate to offer FREE programs to Cattaraugus County youth and adults. The YDC's mission is 1) to promote the practice of positive youth development, 2) to educate, encourage and empower youth, 3) to provide youth with factual, realistic information, 4) to provide youth with peer leadership, youth voice, and community service opportunities.
Cattaraugus County Youth Advisory Board
The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is comprised of local youth who help plan and participate in community service projects such as Relay For Life, volunteering at the SPCA, and helping with the Youth Speak Out and the Youth Summit. This group also serves as advisors to the YDC and acts as a source of youth input for adults seeking to enhance youth-serving programs. The YDC mentors this group, providing members with training and skills necessary to serve in a leadership position.
