For over twenty years, Planned Parenthood has partnered with local faith-based organizations and non-profits that work with young people to host Nobody’s Fool®, a sexual health education event for youth entering grades 5 through 9. Each year, we deliver facts, fun, and food to hundreds of Central Texas youth.
At Nobody’s Fool® we encourage abstinence, promote parent-child communication, and give medically accurate and age-appropriate information about sexuality. To learn more about this annual event, watch this video, email nf@ppwaco.org, or call 254.759.5777.
The Nobody’s Fool® faculty includes 25-30 highly experienced educators, supported by over 100 adult volunteers. Workshops are divided by grade and gender and include different objectives and activities that focus on important subjects relevant to young teens and pre-teens: puberty, dating, relationships, avoiding peer pressure, postponing sexual activity, preventing sexual abuse, teen pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV.

·46% of youth could state one way HIV is transmitted
·64% of youth said they talked to their parents about sex
AFTER Nobody’s Fool® 2010:
·85% of youth could state one way HIV is transmitted
·80% of youth said they felt comfortable enough to talk to their parents about sex.
