Time to Build Campaign

Thank you for your commitment to Planned Parenthood and interest in our Time to Build campaign!

Your gift by June 1 could become $750,000 for us!

For more than 40 years, Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida has been building circles of support for thousands of men, women and families. Where reproductive health care and education are delivered with compassion and competence. Where pregnancy and birth are experienced with joy, health and personal choice. Where every child born is wanted, cared for and loved.

Our community is growing.

And we are out of space.

NOW is the TIME TO BUILD to meet the needs of our growing populations.

1. NOW is the TIME TO EXPAND services in Sarasota with a new Regional Headquarters integrating clinic, education, administration and SOURCE Theater programs and services.

2. NOW is the TIME TO INCREASE access to reproductive health care and information with three new health centers serving Manatee, Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

3. NOW is the TIME TO ENSURE financial security and future stability for our programs and services.

I had my daughter when I was just sixteen years old. I missed out on my youth and put my dreams on hold to see that my baby would have a future. The great news is – we don’t have far to go.

Almost ninety percent of our $11,000,000 campaign has already been funded by the generosity of donors bearing gifts large and small.

To meet our campaign goal, we must raise $1.4 million.

To meet and leverage the $750,000 challenge from The Kresge Foundation, we must raise $200,000 by June 2008.

"I want to thank you for coming and teaching me what I didn't even know of - the first thing I've learned is that I'm not ready to have sex.  Another thing I learned is that you can always say no if you don't want to do it. I know becoming pregnant at a young age will not help me in the future."

We urgently need you to join our TIME TO BUILD campaign to secure Planned Parenthood’s services for the more than 25,000 young women, men, and teens we see every day in Southwest and Central Florida.

Your gift of any amount by June 1 will help qualify us for a $750,000 gift from the prestigious Kresge Foundation – the TIME IS NOW.

Naming and commemorative gift opportunities are available to honor you, your family, friends or loved ones. 
o A gift of $30 a month for three years will secure your name on a paver stone at our new Regional Headquarters.
o A gift of $100 per month for three years will help purchase equipment for our new health centers. 
o A gift of $125 per month for five years will help fund an education resource center in one of our new health centers. 
o A gift of $175 per month ($2,000 a year) for five years will help fund security needs in one of our new health centers.

Your gift may make a $750,000 difference to our campaign.

The TIME TO BUILD Campaign accepts gifts and pledges paid over a three-to-five year period. Gifts of $25,000 or more will be acknowledged on our donor wall in the new Regional Headquarters. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.  Gifts of cash, securities and other marketable property are gratefully accepted.
