6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. WHOLE LOTTA CHANGIN' GOING ON: Are you ready for middle School? Going to middle school can be a fun and exciting time for a child. It can also be a time when youth are faced with complex new issues such as puberty, questions about sex, and pressures surrounding bullying, drugs, and alcohol. Parents can help! In this fun and interactive workshop, learn how to prepare your child to make healthy choices and enjoy this new transition into the teen years.

However, today body-image issues and food issues between mothers and daughters are prominent in our society. Join our class for mothers and teen-age daughters that explores how mothers influence their daughters’ body image and how that image impacts their sexual decision-making.

Sex is part of life, and kids have many questions and concerns. Kids need and
want this information and they want it from their parents. Become your child’s
primary sex educator. Share the information you want them to have. Be prepared to talk with your child about sexual responsibility, pregnancy and STI (sexually transmitted infection) prevention, and other sensitive issues.
