Assistant Center Manager – Norristown Location
 

We have an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate and committed to women’s healthcare, and thrive in managing health centers dealing with reproductive health care.  If you have practice management/medical office management experience or healthcare program supervisory experience and enjoy working with a diverse population in a fast-paced, high-volume, family planning center, the role of Assistant Center Manager may be the right choice for you.

Assistant Center Managers will help the Reproductive Health Center Manager oversee the day-to-day operations of our reproductive health centers.  ACM’s are part of the Patient Services Management team and are responsible for enhancing, developing, implementing, and improving systems to ensure high quality healthcare and excellent customer service for patients.  All Assistant Center Managers are expected to become members of the service delivery team.

Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply for this position.  Successful candidates must have excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills; must be able to manage effectively in a high volume environment; have the ability to intervene in crisis situations; and must be willing to work flexible hours including some evenings and Saturdays.  Occasional travel to other locations may be necessary.  Medical office (practice management) experience, surgical center experience, or health care management experience are required and a background in reproductive healthcare is preferred.

 

 
Clinician

 

 

The Clinician will function in an expanded role in the provision of reproductive health care for women and men.

 

Job duties include, under written Standing Orders of the Medical Director, performing and supervising medical aspects of patient care in contraceptive center in accordance with PPSP Standing Orders and policies and procedures. 

 

Candidates must be licensed or certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania with training in a recognized program or its equivalent; must have experience in reproductive health care including STD's, contraception, pregnancy sizing and options; counseling experience is essential.  Experience in male examination is desirable.  Malpractice coverage assumed by clinician if individual coverage required by the State.

 

Per diem/part-time positions available in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery Counties, and Center City Philadelphia.  Full-time, benefits eligible, floater position also available.

 

  
Manager of Clinical Services

The primary responsibility of the full-time position is maintaining PPSP clinical policies and procedures in conformance with regulatory, industry and PPFA standards and guidelines, and for overseeing agency-wide adoption of changes.  Develops and manages the Patient Services Risk and Quality Management program.  Oversees hiring, training and peer review of clinicians.  Serves as Patient Safety Officer.  Serves as  liaison to regulatory agencies, and holds primarily responsibility to ensure that PPSP labs meet regulatory requirements.  Regularly provides direct service in health centers.  It has been determined that the position of Manger of Clinical Services requires the performance of certain duties that place the employee at risk of an occupational exposure. 

Must be licensed in Pennsylvania to provide family planning services with CRNP or equivalent required; at least 5 years experience providing family planning and/or abortion services is required; at least 3 years management experience, preferably of those providing clinical services, is required; and experience interacting with regulatory authorities preferred.

 

Marketing and Social Media Intern

 
The Marketing and Social Media Intern will assist PPSP’s marketing and patient services staff on various online and social media projects to enhance PPSP’s overall web presence, with the primary outcome of expanding health services to new and existing patients.
 
TIME COMMITMENT: Spring 2012, minimum commitment of 10 hours per week for 4 months. This is an unpaid internship.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: Concise and personal tone in written communication; active on Facebook and Twitter preferred; knowledge of a wide variety of social media platforms (e.g. Facebook Pages, Facebook Causes, Twitter, Linked-In, Flickr, YouTube.); familiarity with CMS and HTML preferred; enthusiasm for helping PPSP build upon their existing digital marketing and engagement strategy; passion for reproductive and sexual health.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Message and Monitor PPSP’s online presence: assist in crafting innovative messaging for PPSP’s various online platforms (social media, PPSP’s website, etc.); monitor conversations on key online platforms, find appropriate areas for PPSP to contribute, and work with Marketing Specialist to post responses to drive awareness about PPSP’s services and its mission; keep up-to-date communications going with each of our social media groups; welcome new social media group members and help respond to their questions.
 
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT:  Research relevant content and methods to share across platforms; research new networks and sites that may be beneficial to PPSP; support the execution of social media campaigns to keep all groups engaged and drive traffic back to PPSP’s properties; use monitoring software for market research (analytics); respond in personal and professional copywriting; other duties as required.

Promotoras Peer Educator

Make a difference in people's lives!  Use your English and Spanish-speaking skills to provide educational presentations on reproductive, sexual, and general health, as well as social challenges facing the Latina community in Norristown, PA.

 

This position requires a candidate with strong bilingual Spanish/English language skills; must be a part of the Latina community in Norristown, PA with one year experience in community outreach, presentation and workshop facilitation; and a High School Diploma or GED.  Become part of a team committed to protecting reproductive freedom, increasing access to reproductive health services and information, and promoting sexual health.

 

 

 

Reproductive Health Center Assistant

 

The Reproductive Health Center Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients in compliance with overall PPSP mission, goals and in compliance with federal, state and PPFA regulations.  In addition, this position is also responsible for basic patient education and counseling for reproductive health issues including birth control and pregnancy prevention, sexual behavior risk reduction, pregnancy options and to provide front desk reception, registration, appointments, financial eligibility assessments for government subsidy, venipuncture and basic on-site lab tests, patient checkout and payment collection.

 

Relevant Health Care or other direct service experience or equivalent educational background.  Demonstrated ability to relate to persons of diverse background and ability to communicate effectively with clients in a non-judgmental and empathetic manner.  Must be willing to work Saturdays.  High School Diploma or GED required.  Prior demonstrated interest or experience in health care, particularly reproductive health care or related issues is preferred.  Customer Service in a fast-paced environment or Medical office experience is preferred.  Part-time and full-time positions available at Center City, Northeast Philadelphia, and Yeadon health centers; on-call (per diem) positions available in Chester County.

 

 

 

Security Officer

 

The part-time Security Officer works primarily at our West Chester location and provides a secure environment as well as a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to all staff, patients and visitors. Other duties may include monitoring the entrance to buildings at all times, monitoring other centers as needed during business hours, screening all persons and packages entering the buildings, and, in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer, may develop and implement practices and procedures for the safety and security of all PPSP facilities and events.

  

Surgical Reproductive Health Center Assistant (bi-lingual)

The bi-lingual SRHCA is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients in compliance with overall PPSP mission, goals and in compliance with federal, state and PPFA regulations.  If you have a high school diploma or GED, are bi-lingual (fluency in English and Spanish required), have strong customer service skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced team environment, consider a career as a Clinic Assistant.  Must be able to perform or learn to perform lab tests including venipuncture.  Must be able to work with people of widely varied and diverse cultures and backgrounds.  Must be able to pass CPR certification training.
