Clinician
The Clinician will function in an expanded role in the provision of reproductive health care for women and men.
Job duties include under written Standing Orders of the Medical Director, the Clinician will perform and supervise medical aspects of patient care in contraceptive center in accordance with PPSP Standing Orders and policies and procedures. Must be willing to work three evenings or two evenings and/or Saturdays. Must be able to travel to other PP sites in four-county area as needed. Full-time and part-time and per diem Clinician positions available in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
Must be licensed or certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania with training in a recognized program or its equivalent. Must have experience in reproductive health care including STD's, contraceptive, pregnancy sizing and options counseling essential. Experience in male examination is desirable. Malpractice coverage assumed by clinician if individual coverage required by the State.
Custodian
The Custodian maintains a clean, safe and professional physical environment at the Elizabeth Blackwell and Locust Street Centers.
Job duties include knowledge of cleaning techniques. Must be able to climb a 12 foot ladder, operate a snow blower, floor buffer, extraction machine and other cleaning equipment. Must have the ability to follow written and oral instructions. Must take initiative, able to function in an independent manner, follow projects through to completion in a timely manner without ongoing supervision. Must have skills in problem solving. Must be dependable, punctual, demonstrate good judgment, willing to learn how to use email, and willing to assist with unscheduled maintenance. Must be able to move boxes and furniture up to 50 lbs. Superior attention to detail is necessary.
High school diploma or GED. Minimum three years prior custodial experience required. Prefer custodial experience in hospital, medical office or hotel. Must have demonstrated ability to operate power cleaning equipment and to work independently. Must have understanding of OSHA regulations related to job functions.
Major Gifts Officer
The Major Gifts Officer works out of the West Chester Administrative office located in West Chester, PA. The Major Gifts Officer identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards major donors ($1,000 and above) and prospects in Chester County and in western Delaware and Montgomery Counties. This position requires an individual with a demonstrated track record of raising major Annual Fund gifts using moves management techniques.
Job duties include working with volunteers; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ability to work well under pressure; the ability to keep others motivated – courteously and effectively – by recognizing effort and maintaining focus on timeline and task; aptitude and interest in detail-oriented work. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and development industry databases. Must have the ability to travel throughout the agency’s four-county service area as needed.
A bachelor’s degree is required, with a minimum of three years of major gift fundraising experience, particularly within individual giving and special events contexts, preferably in the Greater Philadelphia region. Must have experience in developing, implementing, managing and tracking the results of strategies for donor giving and volunteer involvement.
Reproductive Health Center Assistant
The Reproductive Health Center Assistant is responsible to provide excellent customer service to patients in compliance with overall PPSP mission, goals and in compliance with federal, state and PPFA regulations. In addition, this position is also responsible for basic patient education and counseling for reproductive health issues including birth control and pregnancy prevention, sexual behavior risk reduction, pregnancy options and to provide front desk reception, registration, appointments, financial eligibility assessments for government subsidy, venipuncture and basic on-site lab tests, patient checkout and payment collection.
Job duties include competency in computer skills, particularly in general keyboarding and email. Must have understanding of and ability to do the following on a calculator: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and be able to handle money. Must be able to read and write clear, grammatical sentences and to spell correctly. Must have strong verbal communication skills including good customer service manner, ability to explain, good listening skills and ability to summarize accurately. Must have the ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment. Must be accurate, pay attention to detail, possess good judgment, and be able to learn new information quickly. Must be able to perform or learn to perform lab tests including venipuncture Must be able to work with people of widely varied and diverse cultures and backgrounds. Must be able to pass CPR certification training.
High School Diploma or GED required. Prior demonstrated interest or experience in health care, particularly reproductive health care or related issues is preferred. Customer Service in a fast paced environment or Medical office experience is preferred.

Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant is responsible for monitoring the financial resources of the agency, managing the fiscal reporting functions, and monitoring and completing various aspects of the month-end close. Along with the Controller, this position is responsible for the utilization of the general ledger software. The position also assists the Controller with specific financial functions in the medical insurance billing software program.Job duties include monitoring compliance with finance department procedures including cash, signature requirements, deposit verifications, petty cash procedures; monitoring cash on hand and transfers to and from the primary credit line (assists controller); reconciling the organization’s bank accounts; preparing monthly journal entries and monthly and quarterly account analyses; and serving as a backup to the Finance Associate for the payroll function. This position is also responsible to review, generate and manage distribution of all monthly financial reports throughout the agency including specialized reports as requested; to prepare monthly invoices for contracts with external agencies; to oversee Practice Management System (eMedsys) daily reconciliation problems and physical monthly close in conjunction with Patient Services Administration; and assist with annual budget preparation. In addition, this position will coordinate information and material preparation for external auditors and prepares analyses and reports and assist the Controller in insuring that the data in the financial and accounting systems is timely and accurate.
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3 years experience in accounting and financial management required. Experience in non-profit and/or healthcare accounting preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Surgical Reproductive Health Center Assistant
The Surgical Reproductive Health Center Assistant (SRHCA) is responsible for assisting the Center Manager in all aspects of the Center operations. It has been determined that the position of SRHCA requires the performance of certain duties that place the employee at risk of an occupational exposure. For a list of position specific duties that are considered to place the SRHCA at risk, see Occupational Exposure Determination of the Policy & Procedure Manual (Sect. XVI-B).
