Abortion

Abortion services are provided at our two Surgical Centers.  Click on the center of your choice for hours and contact information.
  • Far Northeast Philadephia

    Important Information About Your Abortion
Pennsylvania State Law Requires the Following:
  • You must attend an information session 24 hours prior to the abortion.
  • Persons under the age of 18 must have parental consent for the abortion, or receive a judicial bypass.

Please call either Surgical Center if you have questions.
  • Surgical Abortion

Surgical Abortion can be performed 5 to 15.5 weeks (up to 17.6 at our Far Northeast Center) after your last menstrual period.  Either a local anesthesia (a numbing medicine is placed in your cervix to ease pain) or conscious sedation (a medicine is given intravenously that will relax you, lessen pain, and keep you from remembering parts or all of the procedure) can be used.  Please call one of the centers above for more detailed information.

    Medication Abortion

Medication Abortion is available up to 63 days after your last menstrual period as confirmed by ultrasound. Patients are given a pill at the center and instructions/medication to be used at home. A follow-up ultrasound is required two weeks after the abortion (and is included in the price of the abortion). Please call one of the centers above for more detailed information.
