All of the students have been with Planned Parenthood's Teen Time program since they were 12 years old, and today they are young adults who have also successfully graduated from high school. Most of the students have plans to go onto college or to join the Armed Forces.
The “Most Outstanding Student” for this year is Steven Anderson. Steven started with Teen Time when he was 12 years old, and has been with us ever since. Now at the age of 18, he has grown into an outstanding young man that would make any parent proud. He was selected as the Most Outstanding Youth by the St. Lucie County Children’s Services Council and received a $2,000.00 scholarship towards his education. Steven plans on attending Indian River State College and will major in Forensic Science. Steven is a model example of what the Teen Time program works so hard to accomplish with the youth who are enrolled in the program!
The “Rising Start Student” for this year is Desire Sands. Desire is a 12 year-old young lady who is new to our program and travels everyday after school from Palm Pointe Educational Research School at Tradition in Port St. Lucie to attend our program. She is showing signs of a Rising Star! The Fort Pierce Teen Time Program foresees great things to come for this young lady, so stay tuned!
