Founded in 2001, STARS (Students Teaching About Responsible Sexuality) is a regional peer education program in the greater New Haven area organized by PPSNE. Teens are trained to provide basic sexuality-related education, resources and referrals to their peers via both informal and formal venues. The focus of the program is teen pregnancy prevention, STD and HIV prevention, and the promotion of healthy relationships through responsible choices.
