BE A VOICE FOR REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE ON YOUR CAMPUS!
"Talking to a large group of people about the frank and complicated subjects of reproductive justice and health is not what scares me. What scares me is the idea of nobody talking about the subjects at all."
-Megan Kleczka, Eastern CT State University Vox Intern 2007
Campus Action is the college internship program of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) that trains students from colleges across Connecticut and Rhode Island how to be effective advocates for reproductive justice on their campuses. Led by our Campus Action interns at 11 colleges and universities, pro-choice students organize events and activities to advocate for and educate students about reproductive justice such as educational forums, rallies, movie nights, collecting signatures on petitions, lobbying elected officials in Hartford, Providence and Washington, DC, and conduct outreach at campus and community events.
Be a Voice for Reproductive Freedom
Get involved! Anti-choice forces are gaining strength, even in traditionally “blue” states. Incremental restrictions on abortion rights, denying access to health care, limiting young people’s access to sexuality education all threaten to undermine women’s health and reproductive freedom. Join our efforts to promote reproductive justice, protect access to reproductive health care and abortion rights and work on other social justice issues that go hand-in-hand with reproductive justice. contact us at email@example.com.
Each year, young leaders organize and advocate on their campuses and in their communities through our Campus Action program. Internships offer either college credit or a stipend for doing the work you’re already passionate about. Applications are accepted in the spring semester for the following academic year.
