Your Rights

• The Client has a right to a broad range of acceptable and effective medically approved family planning methods and services.
• The Client has the right to family planning methods not provided at Planned Parenthood of Southeast Iowa by the referral process.
• The Client has the right to quality health services even if their income excludes them from paying for such services.
• The Client has the right to treatment that is available and medically indicated regardless of religion, age, sex, race, color, creed, national origin, handicap, number of pregnancies, marital status, contraceptive preference, or the source of payment of his or her care.
• The Client has the right to receive information about services being provided to them and give agency staff informed consent for the same services.
• Clients have the right to a copy of their medical record when written consent is obtained.
• Adolescent Clients have the right to involve or deny their parents in their family planning care.
• All Clients have the right to ask questions regarding their health care and have them answered in an appropriate manner.
• All Clients have the right to CONFIDENTIAL SERVICES.
