Sexually Transmitted Infection Testing & Treatment

You might feel uneasy about the idea of getting tested for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). That's understandable. But you should know that most STIs are cureable, and all STIs are treatable. The sooner you get tested, the better.

If you find out you don't have any STIs, great! You can learn more about safer-sex techniques to keep yourself healthy. If you find you do have an STI (which is nothing to be ashamed of, millions of Americans have STIs), you can get the treatment you need.

We're here to help you either way. We're also here to help your sex partner(s). Remember, even if you get treated for an STI, you could be re-infected if your partner doesn't get treatment.

Standard STI Screening

When you have an appointment for an STI screening, you will automatically be tested for:
  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Syphilis
  • HIV/AIDS

To get more information about these STI's, use the links on the lieft side of this page.

You can also be tested for other infections, if you or your clinician thinks that is necessary. You will be able to discuss these and other STIs at your appointment. Find out if you can get tested free by using the left side link.
