Out for Health

Out for Health is our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) health and wellness project that provides outreach, education, and information to LGBT people, their health care providers, and the community at large about the importance of inclusive, welcoming, and respectful care or LGBT people.  Planned Parenthood is Out for Health!  We take pride in ensuring that our patients and our communities have access to the sexual health and wellness services and information they need.  We stand side by side with our LGBT communities as fellow activists, allies, and people committed to health, wellness, and social change.  Learn more at OUTFORHEALTH.ORG and connect with us at facebook.com/OUTFORHEALTH.

The Chemung County Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program (CAP) is a coalition of area organizations dedicated to reducing teen pregnancy in our community.  The CAP program is an abstinence-based program which conducts programs on various teen issues for high school and middle school students, parent and teacher gatherings, and groups and agencies outside of schools. The CAP Program also provides referrals to free health center services for teens residing in Elmira. Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC)

SARC is the only rape crisis program serving Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben counties.  We are regional leaders in providing comprehensive, free services that include a 24-hour hotline and 24-hour medical advocacy, legal advocacy, and counseling.  With the help of our professional staff and trained volunteers, SARC accompanies victims to the hospital, provides counseling, and offers assistance through confusing legal proceedings.  Learn more about our work and find out how you can volunteer and make a difference at SARCST.ORG.  Connect with us at facebook.com/SARCST.
