Books

It's Perfectly Normal
Packed with the vital information young adolescents need to quell fears and make wise decisions. Frank yet playful, the book portrays a reassuring array of body types and ethnic groups, allowing readers to come away with a healthy respect for their bodies and a better understanding of the role that sexuality plays in the human experience.

It's So Amazing
"Exactly what is sex?" and "Where does the baby actually come out?" The familiar enthusiastic bird and reluctant bee narrate the comic cartoon panels, eventually deciding that the miracles of birth, families, and love are just "so amazing." Adults will be grateful for the many different ways this book portrays situations not always easy to explain to children.

Changing Bodies, Changing Lives
The latest information on the physical and emotional aspects of puberty, sexuality, healthcare, sexually transmitted diseases, safer sex and birth control, living with violence, mental health, and eating disorders. Inspired by the classic Our Bodies, Ourselves.

Deal with It! A Whole New Approach to Your Body, Brain, and Life as a Gurl
With chapters such as "Boobs," "What's Up Down There," this book has everything covered--with the frankness, humor, and style frustratingly absent from the many similar books. All topics are fair game: zit remedies; a dazzling array of hair removal techniques; masturbation methods; sexual positions and orientations; what to do if you are raped; how to deal with anger, depression, and anxiety; the physical effects of different drugs; how to get along with friends and family; and more.

Free Your Mind
Through the words of dozens of young people who have been through related experiences this books chapters address: self-discovery and coming out, dealing with friends and first love, dealing with family, defending and asserting oneself in school, finding solace in spirituality, and locating community support.

From Diapers to Dating: A Parent's Guide to Raising Sexually Healthy Children
Organized from birth through age twelve this book presents a practical program for parents to communicate their own values about sexuality to their children.
