The Mary Jane McCord Planned Parenthood Book Sale is the largest used book sale in the tri-counties and is held annually at Earl Warren Showgrounds. This popular fall event offers thousands of titles for all ages and interests. Admission is free, except for the Opening Night Reception, and all are welcome to attend!

Book Sale Donations Information
Book donations are accepted at 721 E. Gutierrez Street, located between Nopal and Quarantina Streets, in a small white trailer labeled “PP Book Donations.” The trailer is open at ALL times so feel free to drop your books off at your convenience. We do NOT accept magazines, encyclopedias or record albums. If you have a large donation (over 10 boxes of books), please call (805) 722-1522 for more information (we are sorry but we do not do book pickups). PLEASE DO NOT drop off book donations at any Planned Parenthood health center. They will not be accepted.
Book Sale Volunteer Information
We sort and price books throughout the year in preparation for the sale. If you would like to volunteer, please come by our sorting site at 721 East Gutierrez on a Saturday morning between 10:00am - 12:00pm for a short orientation session.
