Roe v. Wade Anniversary
Every year, Planned Parenthood helps coordinate local pro-choice coalition Roe v. Wade anniversary events in both Santa Barbara and Ventura. The events are held in January to commemorate the anniversary of the landmark decision upholding a woman's right to choose. For more information, click here.
Choice Affairs
Celebrating its 25th season, Choice Affairs is a signature series of unique events imagined, created, underwritten and coordinated by a dedicated group of Planned Parenthood volunteers and supporters. From behind-the-scenes museum and architectural tours, to musical performances, lectures, cooking demonstrations and hiking to beautiful vistas, Choice Affairs offers unforgettable experiences and has provided over $1 million of funding for programs and services.

Annual Book Sale
The Mary Jane McCord Planned Parenthood Book Sale is our longest-running special event and is the largest used book sale in the tri-counties. Now in its 39th year and supported by more than 200 volunteers, this popular fall event offers thousands of titles for all ages and interests.
Books are sorted and priced throughout the year in preparation for the sale. If you would like to volunteer during the year or work at the sale itself, call 805.722.1522.

Young Professionals First Fridays
Mix, mingle and make a difference the first Friday of every month, hosted by Planned Parenthood Young Professionals. Supporters in their 20s and 30s meet once a month to network, socialize, and catch up on the latest news from Planned Parenthood.
