What does the Patient Safety Zone Ordinance do?
The Patient Safety Zone Ordinance creates a fixed 35-foot protest-free zone around the entrances and driveways of reproductive health centers in Burlington—like Planned Parenthood health centers.
What does the law mean for you, the patient?
The ordinance makes it easier for you to access reproductive and sexual health care services at Planned Parenthood. Protestors are not allowed to approach you when you are within 35 feet of our health center entrances or driveways. You may notice signs marking off the 35 feet zone. Protestors must stand behind these lines. If a protestor approaches you within the painted lines, you can report it to a Planned Parenthood greeter or staff member.
