Maine

PPNNE has a long tradition of advocating for a prevention first agenda—investing in programs that keep women healthy, help save lives, and prevent unintended pregnancy. To carry on this tradition, we need your help.

Write a Letter to the Editor

Write a letter to the editor or an op-ed piece to your local newspaper. Let the public and elected officials know what Planned Parenthood means to you – quality, affordable health care; affordable, accessible birth control; medically accurate information; the right to choose, and more.

Download our tips on writing a letter to the editor and for writing an op-ed piece. Once you've written your letter, please consider e-mailing us a copy for publication on PPNNE's website!

To register, you must be a United States citizen, at least 17 years of age, (18 to vote) and live in Maine. You can register to vote at your town office or city hall, through any Motor Vehicle branch office, in most state & federal social service agencies, or at voter registration drives. Voter registration information is available on the Secretary of State's website.

Find Your Legislator

Do you know who speaks for you in your local community? Do you know who represents your voice in the state legislature? Do you know who to contact in order to get your issues heard at the federal level?

First, find your elected officials and then speak up and let your voice be heard!

Be sure to let your local, state and federal representatives know how important reproductive justice and accessible health care are to you and your community.
