Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio (PPNEO) provides essential reproductive health care services to women and men in our local Northeast Ohio communities. We are a trusted source of mainstream birth control services to prevent unintended pregnancy and serve as a leader in breast and cervical cancer screening and prevention and sexually transmitted infection prevention and treatment.
PPNEO works for healthier women and families and stronger, sustainable communities by maintaining offices and health centers in most Northeast Ohio communities.
PPNEO encourages clients to take control of their lives and health and promotes prevention by offering top-quality family planning and reproductive health care services to nearly 60,000 clients at 17 health centers in 21 Northeast Ohio counties. Our services are designed to help people make lifelong informed choices that focus on responsibility and prevention of unintended pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections and reproductive cancers.
PPNEO wants all people to have access to the facts about their bodies and their health so they have the means to decide freely about whether and when to have children. As a leading source of medically accurate sexuality education and information, we believe that sexuality education should begin at home, continue throughout life, and be fact based. We provide information and education that results in smart choices and healthier lifestyles and act as a resource for parents and educators so that teens can have access to medically accurate information about parenthood, relationships and sexual health.
PPNEO also keeps the public informed about the legislation and public policy decisions that affect their health. PPNEO works to maintain access to affordable health services and to ensure that private, personal decisions about childbearing are not made by politicians.
Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio (PPNEO) is an affiliate of the most trusted reproductive health care organization in the world. In July 2007, Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio became official after the successful consolidation of Planned Parenthood of Greater Cleveland, Planned Parenthood of North Central Ohio, Planned Parenthood of Stark County, Planned Parenthood of Summit, Portage and Medina Counties, and Planned Parenthood of the Mahoning Valley. This consolidation was the largest in Planned Parenthood Federation of America's history and promises to be very beneficial for our communities, our clients, and our supporters.
