TACKLE = Teaching Accountability Changes Kids Lives Everyday
TACKLE is an after-school teen pregnancy prevention program for Summit County youth.
The purpose of TACKLE is to teach teens to resist peer pressure for early sex, increase positive self esteem, and discuss future goals. TACKLE addresses issues important to healthy sexuality, such as puberty, friendships and other relationships, abstinence, sexual anatomy and reproduction, body image, sexual decision making, values, assertive communication, sexually transmitted diseases, and reproductive health.
PPNEO currently has two TACKLE groups one for males and one for females ages 11 – 17 yrs. The program is offered at one middle school in the Akron Public Schools system and at First Grace United Church of Christ.
