Public Policy Volunteers make the grassroots impact for access to and long-term sustainability of essential reproductive health care services for local women and men, mainstream birth control services to prevent unintended pregnancies, health care services to prevent and treat sexually transmitted infections and early cervical cancer, and medically accurate sexuality education programs. PPNEO's advocacy efforts help keep the public informed about policy decisions that affect women's health and provide tools you need to take action on important legislative and policy issues that can affect local women, families and communities for generations.

Here are a few things you can do to make a difference today:

CAMPUS ACTIVISM
VOX is the Latin word for "voice" and VOX: Voices for Planned Parenthood is a nationwide program dedicated to energizing and mobilizing the next generation of Planned Parenthood pro-family, pro-women, pro-choice Americans. As a VOX member, you will educate and inspire college students to advocate for women and their families through fun and creative outreach events and activities. COMMUNITY OUTREACH
As a Community Outreach volunteer you can help educate the community about our issues, get supporters involved, and show the public that Planned Parenthood is a positive force in the community! You will provide information about Planned Parenthood’s mission and services and updates on current legislation, and register people for Planned Parenthood’s action network. BE A MEDIA TRACKER
Do you read the newspaper or watch the news as part of your daily routine? Are you interested in journalism, women’s health, access to affordable birth control, and comprehensive sexuality education? Do you have strong writing skills? Be a Media Tracker! Simple track your local newspaper and report back to PPNEO on what you find. Visit our Media Center or find your local newspapers directly. WRITE A LETTER TO THE EDITOR
This extremely important - but flexible - position allows you to put your journalism skills to use educating the public about current political issues related to Planned Parenthood. PPNEO will alert you when we need you to write a letter, give you talking points, and ask you to share your letter with us. If you really want your voice to be heard by thousands, one of the best ways is by writing a letter to the editor.  All the work can all be done from the comfort of your own home!
