Public Policy Volunteers make the primary grassroots impact for sustaining access to essential reproductive health care and family planning services for local women and men.
PPNEO's advocacy efforts help keep our community members and leaders informed about public policy decisions that affect women's health and provide tools you need to take action on important legislative and policy issues that can affect area women, families and communities for generations.
Current opportunities are in our searchable volunteer database. Some are summarized below.
To discuss volunteering, contact Dana Day, Volunteer Connections Manager, at 330-535-2674 x 1121 or send an email.

Campus Outreach Organizer Volunteer
Are you a college student? Do you want to work on campus to organize fellow students in support of reproductive health services and pro-choice issues? There are two ways you can help:
Organize your campus around our prevention issues!
Join other pro-choice students to spread the word about the Prevention First Act, skyrocketing birth control prices, pharmacy refusals, comprehensive sex education, EC in the ER, and more. Host events and activities, conduct phone banks and canvassing, register fellow students to vote, attend a Lobby Day, sign people up for our Action Network and spread the word online and through social networks.
Join or start a VOX chapter at your school!
VOX is Latin for "voice.” VOX: Voices for Planned Parenthood is dedicated to energizing and mobilizing the next generation of pro-family, pro-woman, pro-choice Americans. Through VOX, you will educate and inspire fellow college students about important health issues through community service and fun events and activities.

PPNEO will provide message training and key points about current issues so you can be armed with the best information. We can even alert you when letters to the editor are needed in your area. We only require you to share your letters with us and send us the links to your blog entries so we can keep track of everything. Communication, organization and computer skills are necessary.
