Access to these vital health care services helps prevent unwanted pregnancies, reduces the number of abortions, and limits the spread of sexually transmitted disease. Treatment, prescriptions and referrals for services not available at Planned Parenthood are provided to clients, as needed.

Confidentiality
Our model of care involves patient-focused information and education. Patients leave our centers with the information and knowledge they need to maintain and protect their health. Planned Parenthood provides a non-judgmental and confidential rapport with patients that makes it easier to address a number of sensitive issues such as behaviors that involve risk and safer alternatives.
In Ohio, teenagers are not required to have parental permission to receive birth control or to obtain a pregnancy test, HIV testing, sexually transmitted infection testing or treatment, and basic gynecological services.
All services are confidential regardless of age or marital status.
 HIV Prevention Messages
As indicated by certain local funders, we are required to inform visitors that Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio's website contains HIV prevention messages that may not be appropriate for all audiences.
